Madhya Pradesh: MiG 21 Trainer Aircraft Crashes In Gwalior, Both Pilots Manage To Eject Safely

A MiG-21 trainer aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed near the Gwalior airbase on Tuesday, official sources said. Both pilots ejected safely, they said. The aircraft was on a routine mission, and crashed around 10 am, the sources said.
The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident, they said.
Earlier, a MiG 27 UPG (upgraded) aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed when it was on a routine mission from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. It was not clear whether the pilot ejected safely. The fighter jet crashed in Godana near Sheoganj in Sirohi District of the state. Police and administrative officials have reached the spot to cordon off the area, Sirohi district SP, Kalyan Mal Meena said.
