Maharashtra drought: 12-year-old girl dies due to dehydration, heart-attack
According To A News Portal, The Dehydrated Girl Managed To Make Four Trips To Fill Water But Collapsed During Her Fifth Trip. The Temperature Was Nothing Less Than 44 Degree Celsius During The Time Of Incident.
In drought-hit area of Maharashtra’s Beed district, a 12-year-old girl lost her life following heart attack on Tuesday. The incident happened when the girl, who has been identified as Yogita Ashok Desai, a class 5 student, was on her way to fill water from a nearby water pump. The girl was a resident of Sablkhed village and was also suffering from dysentery for a few days.According to a news portal, the dehydrated girl managed to make four trips to fill water but collapsed during her fifth trip. The temperature was nothing less than 44 degree Celsius during the time of incident.The doctors who attended her and said that the reason behind her death is heart attack and dehydration. Centre on Tuesday had mentioned that nearly 33 crore people are suffering from major drought in the country. Several parts of India are reeling under high temperatures and more than 110 people have succumbed due to sunstrokes.
