Setting an example of communal harmony, people from Muslim community came forward to clean temples in flood-hit region of Banaskantha district of Gujarat. Dhanera, Palanpur and other villages, which are dominated by Hindus, witnessed that Muslim men sweat out in cleaning temples after water started receding in the area.
While addressing 35th Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cited the example of communal harmony where people of both communities contributed in cleaning of 22 temples and 3 mosques.
PM Modi heaped praise on Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, saying that such dedication sets an example of social service and unity in Gujarat flood aftermath.
