Watch video: Ministry says Parrikar's statement on nuclear policy his 'personal opinion'

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Thursday said that his personal take on India’s nuclear policy is that the country "being a responsible power" should not get into in the first-use debate.

Sources in the government later said that Parrikar’s remarks must be taken as his personal opinion and not his official position." Parrikar made the remark at a book launch.

Here is what all the Defence Minister said:#Necessarily if there is any question or danger to the country, I will not open the book first#'Be unpredictable' is part of the strategy.
