A minor fire broke out in the engine of the Thiruvananthapuram-bound Maveli Express from Mangaluru on Saturday night, as it was passing Cheruvathur in Kasaragod district causing panic.No casualties were reported in the incident, railway sources said.The loco pilot put off the fire with the help of local people and police, they said.The train was brought to Nileshwaram where it was attached to a relief engine and the express left on its onward journey after a delay of about 150 minutes.Normal traffic has been restored.Three other trains which suffered delays are—Malabar Express bound for the state capital, Mangaluru-Kacheguda Express and Byndoor-Kannur Passenger, Palakkad Division PRO, Gopinath, told a news agency.
