Kejriwal to newly-elected AAP councillors: 'Work with honesty, oppn may lure you with money, don't betray the party'

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday met with newly-elected councillors of his party and asked them to work with honesty. He also asked the councillors “not to betray the party”.
The Aam Aadmi Party convenor asked all 48 councillors, who have been elected to Municipal Corporation of Delhi, to take a pledge not betraying the party. He also warned their councillors , saying that opposition may lure them with money.
The Delhi chief minister asked the councillors not to betray this pure party and anti-corruption movement.
The statements come after the party witnessed a major defeat in the MCD polls and after several senior leaders resigned from their posts the as fallout of the loss.
On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had refrained from raising the EVM tampering issue, unlike other AAP leaders, as he had congratulated the BJP on its victory in the municipal polls.
His reaction came hours after it became clear that the BJP was set to retain control of the three corporations, winning over 160 seats, more than its existing strength.
The Aam Aadmi Party Chief had promised all cooperation to the civic bodies for the betterment of the national capital.
