Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba  Mufti on Monday called for talks between India and Pakistan to stop bleeding shedding in the state.

In a tweet she also stated that she will be dubbed as ‘anti-national’ by TV channels for making the appeal.

The Jammu and Kashmir chief minister in her verified Twitter account wrote, “Dialogue with Pakistan is necessary if we are to end bloodshed.:

She further wrote, “I know I will be labelled anti-national by news anchors tonight but that doesn’t matter.”

“The people of J&K are suffering. We have to talk because war is not an option,” added Mufti.

Reacting to Mufti’s call for dialogue, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav said, “Talks can only happen when terrorism stops.”

The Mufit’s appeal for dialogue comes amid a spurt in terrorist attacks on security forces deployed in the state and unending border clashes between armies of India and Pakistan.

On Saturday, five Indian Army soldiers and a civilian was killed in a terrorist attack on Sunjwan Army camp. At least 10 people were injured in the attack.
