MHA issues alert over possible chemical attacks at airports, Metro stations
As Per Media Reports, The Security Agencies Have Been Asked To Keep A Tight Vigil For Any Substance That Could Release Toxic Substance.
Union home ministry has issued an alert to all states and security agency after receiving intelligence inputs that terrorists may launch a chemical attack by releasing toxic gases at airports bus stands, Metro and railway stations.
As per media reports, the security agencies have been asked to keep a tight vigil for any substance that could release toxic substance.
The ministry wrote a letter on September 1 to all states, aviation ministry and other agencies, informing that central security agencies have given input that terrorist are planning to target aircrafts.
Last month, Australian police had foiled a similar bid when they averted an attempt to bring down a commercial aircraft.
