According To The Police, The Woman Knew Her Abductor And They Both Were From Same Village.
A shocking CCTV footage has emerged showing a woman being dragged out of her office by a man in broad daylight in a street in Punjab’s Muktsar area. The 24-year-old shouts for help as she tries to break free but no one comes for help. The incident took place on March 25. The woman was then kidnapped and raped at a farmhouse and was released the next day, she told police.The police registered an FIR in the case five days after the incident and has now arrested one person in connection with the abduction and rape of the woman. The video was recorded in a CCTV camera on a shop nearby. It shows the colleagues of the woman running out of the office later. According to the police, the woman knew her abductor and they both were from same village.The Dalit woman and her father later met the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, which has issues summons to a top cop from Muktsar to explain the delay in taking action against the accused.
