Train Services Have Been Affected. CST-Pune Deccan Queen And CST-Pune Intercity Express Are Cancelled On 29.12.2016 After Kurla-Ambernath Local Derailment.
Five coaches of Mumbai local train running between Kurla-Ambernath derailed on Thursday morning. There are no reports of any passengers been injured in the train accident.
Local train derailed on Thursday morning between Kalyan and Vitthalwadi stations in Thane district, officials said. The mishap took place at 5:53AM.
Train services affected
After the train derailment, train services have been affected. CST-Pune Deccan Queen and CST-Pune Intercity Express cancelled on 29.12.2016 after Kurla-Ambernath local derailment.
Train number 22105 running between CST-Pune Indrayani Express diverted through Diva-Panvel-Karjat after Kurla-Ambernath local derailment.
Services on Kalyan-Karjiesat route was suspended for some time after the Mumbai train derailment. However, local train services between Ambernath and Karjat have now been restored.

Second train derailment case in last two days
This is a second train derailment incident in two days. On Wednesday, fifteen coaches of train no 12988 Ajmer-Saeldah express derailed near Rura-Metha, 70 kms away from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
According to railways data, there have been 67 derailment cases this year since April while it was 52 in the corresponding period last year.
