According To Sources The Blast Occurred Inside 15 RR Camp In Lachampora Rajwar Of Kupwara District's Handwara Area.
At least two soldiers were injured after a 'mysterious' blast inside an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara on Friday. The blast occurred inside 15 RR camp in Lachampora Rajwar of Kupwara district's Handwara area. The injured jawans were rushed to a hospital where they were undergoing treatment.
According to sources, the incident was not a terror attack and the blast occurred accidentally. The authorities, however, said that they were ascertaining the details and reasons behind the blast.
The incident has come at a time when military establishments in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country are on a high alert in the wake of terrorist attack threat.
On February 14, at least 42 CRPF personnel were killed in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district when a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 30 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district that also left many critically wounded.
Following the attack, India launched an anti-terror operation and conducted an air strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed camps in Pakistan's Balakot. After the strike, the two nuclear-armed neighbours came on the brink of a full-fledged war. Since then, all the three branches of Indian Armed Forces are on operation alert.
