Narcotics Control Bureau Have Claimed To Arrest To Nigerian Citizens For Allegedly Possessing Contrabands Worth Rs 50 Lakhs On Wednesday.
Narcotics Control Bureau have claimed to arrest to Nigerian citizens for allegedly possessing contrabands worth Rs 50 lakhs on Wednesday.
According to Narcotics Control Bureau official have the two Nigerians have been carrying Amphetamine — a stimulant drug.
"The arrested two Nigerian citizens were arrested from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus,” said Narcotics Control Bureau Kumar Sanjay.
Sanjay added that the they have recovered 20 kilograms of Amphetamine from their possession.
The two arrested have been identified as Tatteh Joesph and Ani Stanley Chukwuma were supposedly to the contraband to South Africa.
A senior Narcotics Control Bureau officer added that they were alerted by their colleagues from Delhi office.
The duo were hiding the contraband in a table. “When we broke the table, we recovered 20 kilograms of Amphetamine,” added the official.
The official also added that Joesph was carrying two passports — one of Ghana and other of Nigeria. During questioning he told the officials that he was a Nigerian citizen.
