Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday night expressed happiness over India’s re-election to the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).The Prime Minister has “expressed joy” over the development, according to a PMO statement.“India has emerged on top in the Asia Pacific group,” the statement noted.In a significant victory, India was today re-elected to the UN’s main human rights body for the period of 2015-17, receiving the highest number of votes in the Asia-Pacific group.
