Nigerian assaulted, his car burnt following road mishap

A Nigerian national was beaten up by locals and his car set on fire after it ran over a 35-year-old woman here today, police said.
“A Nigerian was thrashed by the locals and then his car was set on fire after his vehicle ran over a 35-year-old woman,” Soladevanahalli Police Inspector Pravin Babu told PTI, adding that he has been arrested.
“The accident took place around 7 pm and the accused has been arrested,” Babu said. The deceased was identified as Shabana.
Asked whether the police have arrested the attackers, Babu said police were investigating the case.
