Nitish Kumar clarifies meeting with Modi, says 'everything else' is misinterpretation
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Skipped An Opposition Meeting Called By Congress President Sonia Gandhi In Delhi On Friday.
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, who skipped an opposition meeting called by Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Friday, is likely to attend a lunch being hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday in honour of visiting Mauritius prime minister Pravind Jugnauth.
However, Nitish clarifying on the issue said he has already met Sonia Gandhi and it was announced 4-5 days back that Sharad Yadav would represent JDU. Everything else is misinterpretation.
Earlier, Sonia Gandhi called an all Party meet with the agenda to decide a joint opposition candidate for the upcoming Presidential polls.
However, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee after the meeting said if the parties don’t agree on one name then a “small committee†could be formed to help them select a suitable nominee.
