In The Wake Of Increasing Number Of Road Accidents Involving Two-wheelers In The City, The Dharamshala Police Has Decided To Implement 'no Helmet, No Fuel' Rule From August 11.
In the wake of increasing number of road accidents involving two-wheelers in the city, the Dharamshala Police has decided to implement 'no helmet, no fuel' rule from August 11.
"Two-wheeler riders not wearing helmets will be denied petrol at pumps in and around the city after three warnings," SP Sanjay Gandhi said after a meeting with petrol pump owners here yesterday.
All the 12 petrol pumps in the city have agreed to implement the rule, Gandhi said, adding DSPs in Kangra district have been directed to implement it in their areas as well.
The rule will be applicable to tourists as well, he added. The petrol pump owners have been instructed to launch the scheme without any delay from August 11, DSP (Baijnath) Pooran Chand said.
