Election Commission issues notification for Punjab and Goa assembly elections
Scrutiny Of Nomination Papers Will Be Carried Out On January 19 And Candidates Can Withdraw From The Electoral Battle Till January 21.

With the issuance of notification in Goa and Punjab, the formal process of elections in the two states began on Wednesday.
As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission, Punjab and Goa will go to polls on February 4.
The last date for filing nominations is January 18.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be carried out on January 19 and candidates can withdraw from the electoral battle till January 21.
In Punjab, five nominations were filed on the on the first day on Wednesday.
Counting will be held on March 11 along with Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.
