Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit to meet moderate Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq in Delhi
“Mirwaiz Will Lead A High-level Delegation To New Delhi To Visit Pakistan High Commission On The Invitation Of Pakistan High Commissioner To India On The Eve Of Pakistan Day On March 23,' Hurriyat Said In A Statement Today.
Moderate Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will lead a high-level delegation of the amalgam to attend the Pakistan day function in New Delhi on Monday.
“Mirwaiz will lead a high-level delegation to New Delhi to visit Pakistan High Commission on the invitation of Pakistan high commissioner to India on the eve of Pakistan Day on March 23,” Hurriyat said in a statement today.
“The Hurriyat delegation will hold a detailed deliberation with Pakistan over the resumption of dialogue with India and various other political issues connected with the Kashmir dispute,” it said.
Pakistan’s high commissioner Abdul Basit had met the Kashmiri separatist leaders last year in Delhi, which had riled India leading to cancellation of Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan.
