Pakistan Violates Ceasefire In Mendhar Sector Of J-K's Poonch District
This Is The Fifth Consecutive Day When Pak Rangers Have Resorted To Unprovoked Ceasefire Violation.
Pakistani Army yet again violated ceasefire by resorting to mortar shelling and small arms firing in Mendhar sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
This is the fifth consecutive day when Pak rangers have resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation.
'This morning at about 1130 hours Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in Mendhar Sector of Poonch,' a defence spokesperson said.
Indian Army is giving a befitting reply to the ceasefire violations.
Earlier on Wednesday, Jammu, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.
The firing from across the border started around 8 am and continued for three-and-a-half hours, he said.
The spokesperson said the Indian Army retaliated befittingly. There was no report of any casualty in the Pakistani firing and shelling, he said.
