To eliminate ambiguity in the case of 21-year-old Pallavi Vikamsey, the Government Railway Police (GRP) will record statement of motorman of train under which she is believed to have been trapped.
Indian Express reported that the statement will be recorded by a senior inspector to find out the sequence of events that led to her death.
“The senior inspector has been sent to record the statement of the motorman of the train to get to know the sequence of events. We have read in the media about statements of some train commuters who saw the incident. We will call them for questioning as well,” said the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Machindra Chavan to Indian Express.
“At this stage, we do not know what resulted in the death. However, we recorded the statements of the girl’s father and brother who told us that they do not suspect any foul play.”
Vikamsey, who recently completed her Law degree, went missing on Wednesday. She was last seen boarding a train from platform no. 5 at Mumbai’s CSMT station. Her body was found under mysterious circumstances in Mumbai on Thursday.
