Police arrest three persons in connection with an attack by cow vigilantes on a group of 5 men in Alwar on Wednesday. Out of the five men who were beaten, one person had succumbed to injuries.
Earlier, a video showing a mob brutally thrashing men for allegedly transporting cows in Rajasthan’s Alwar had gone viral on social media. The video shows a man slumped on the road unconscious. Two days after the attack, Pehlu Khan, 55, died in a hospital on Tuesday.
Pehlu Khan, who belonged to Haryana, and his four associates were assaulted even after reportedly producing documents to prove that they had bought the cows from a "Pashu Mela" in Jaipur. The mob dragged them out of their pick-up truck.
