Delhi CM and AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that if his party wins Punjab Assembly elections, the deputy chief minister for the state would be a Dalit.
He made the announcement on the occasion of releasing Dalit Manifesto of party at Phillaur, a reserved constituency in Jalandhar.
Among the most significant promises made in the manifesto is a Special Investigation Team to inquire into cases of atrocities against Dalits in the past five years and recommend exemplary punishments.
“AAP government will have a Social Security Scheme for all Dalits”, said Kejriwal addressing a political rally ahead of assembly elections in Punjab.
