A Revenue Official In Gurdaspur Has Been Suspended For Allegedly Violating The Model Code Of Conduct By Campaigning For An SAD Candidate, A Senior Official Said On Friday.

A revenue official in Gurdaspur has been suspended for allegedly violating the model code of conduct by campaigning for an SAD candidate, a senior official said on Friday.
Davinder Singh was suspended by Gurdaspur’s district collector cum district electoral officer, Pardeep Aggarwal, for allegedly campaigning for the SAD candidate from Gurdaspur assembly constituency, Gurbachan Singh Babbehali.
Aggarwal said Davinder was posted in the SAD candidate’s native village of Babbehali and was found participating in door-to-door campaigning.
The DEO has asked the all government employees and officers to adhere to the model code of conduct and warned that strict action would be taken if anybody was found violating the code.
