Rahul Gandhi turns 48, PM Modi extends prays for his 'long and healthy' life
Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday turned 48. On the occasion of his birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the Congress president, wishing him a long and healthy life.
"Birthday greetings to Congress President Shri @RahulGandhi. I pray for his long and healthy life," Modi tweeted.
Leaders from the ruling BJP and other Opposition parties also extended their greetings to Rahul Gandhi on his 48th birthday.
Disgruntled BJP leader Kirti Azad, who, according to reports may join Congress ahead of 2019 polls, termed Gandhi “young and dynamic†Congress chief while wishing him a happy birthday.
#HappyBirthdayRahulGandhi was trending on top of Twitter with a flood of messages wishing the Congress president on his cake day.
Born on June 19, 1970, Rahul Gandhi took over as the Congress vice-president in January 2013. He was elected unopposed as the party president on December 11, 2017.
