Railways to launch ‘Operation Swarn’ to raise qualities of premiere trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi
Now, The Ministry Of Railways Is All Set To Launch “ Operation Swarn' And Premiere Trains Like Rajdhani And Shatabdi Would Get Additional Facilities In Near Future.
Upping the ante, the ministry of Railways is all set to transform the services that are being provided in premiere trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains.
The ministry has named “Operation Swarn” to refurbish its services after witnessing several complaints like delay in train arrival, sanitation and quality of food from passengers. The major challenge for the Modi government is to bring revamp in the infrastructure as people still feel that despite the investment, the government has failed to maintain the standard in the Railways.
Now, the Ministry of Railways is all set to launch “ Operation Swarn” and premiere trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi would get additional facilities in near future.
The ministry has set ten factors as parameter for “gold “category. Theses parameters are- coach interior, toilet, linen, time table, catering, staff behavior, security, entertainment, housekeeping and regular feedback. The ministry has approved Rs 50 lakh as expenditure during overhaul and frame a deadline. The operation will be concluded on September 26.

The Ministry of Railways has formulated two committees comprising of senior officials to monitor each standard and the parameters would be fixed by June 6. The operation would be expedited from June 8.
