Rajasthan: Pilot killed, 1 injured in paraglider crash during Republic Day celebration in Nagaur
Rajasthan Police Officials Said That The Paraglider Belonged To A Private Company But Did Not Confirm Who Had Hired It.
A pilot hired by the Rajasthan’s Nagaur district administration to shower flowers during Republic Day celebration was killed, and a passenger was injured after a paraglider they were travelling in crashed in Indra Colony city.
Rajasthan Police officials said that the paraglider belonged to a private company but did not confirm who had hired it.
The deceased paraglider pilot has been identified as Manav Mewar, while the injured has been identified as Gaurav Bhati. Manav is a resident of Delhi.
“The pilot lost control over the paraglider a few minutes after it had taken off from the airstip. It crashed on a tree near a house,” said a police officer deployed at Nagaur.
The pilot and the passenger were rushed to a local hospital for medical attention, where the Manav succumbed to his his injuries.
