Ram Nath Kovind took oath as the 14th President of India at Central Hall of Parliament on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all the lawmakers attended the oath-taking ceremony of the 71-year-old.

"I am thankful to you all for giving me the responsibility to be the President of India," the new President said in his address. "I come from a humble background. The journey has been long."
