The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested TMC MP Tapas Paul on Friday in connection with the Rose Valley chit fund scam case.
Earlier this week, the CBI had summoned Paul and another TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Tapas Paul for their alleged role in the case.
Paul reached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in North 24 Parganas on Friday after being summoned by the investigative agency. The agency has charged several TMC members in its probes against chit fund companies including Saradha.
