RSS new dress code: Welcome brown trousers goodbye khaki shorts
The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh Or The RSS 90-year-old Tradition Is Set To Become History As It Is Deciding To Shed Its Old Image And Adopt A New Medium To Communicate Its Ideology.
The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh or the RSS 90-year-old tradition became history on Sunday after the organisation decided to shed its old image and adopt a new medium to communicate its ideology.
The Sangh has decided to shed its khaki shorts and replace it with brown trousers. The new dress which will be replaced with the Khaki shorts along with a black cap, white shirt, brown socks and bamboo stick will now have grey-coloured trousers.
Announcing the decision, Bhaiyyaji Joshi told media, "We have decided to replace khaki shorts with brown-colored full pants (RSS uniform)."
Talking about Ghulam Nabi Azad's comparison of RSS with ISIS, Joshi added, "'His statement reflects his ignorance'."
Not commenting much on JNU, he said, "It is not an issue of politics."
According to reports, the decision to replace the shorts will be taken in a meeting on Sunday as a section of the members want to revisit the decision about the colour of the trousers.
Some even defend that the Khaki colour symbolises service while blue is identified with Dalits.
However, sources revealed that the "switch to trousers is final, but a discussion on colour may take place again.
The change is aimed to attract the youth, who the Sangh feels had stopped getting attracted to the RSS mainly due to the uniform.
