Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Leader Majid Memon On Tuesday Said That The Shiv Sena Mouthpiece, Saamna, Is Going Beyond Its Limits, And Therefore, It Is Best To Ignore And Avoid Reading Its Editorials.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Memon on Tuesday said that the Shiv Sena mouthpiece, Saamna, is going beyond its limits, and therefore, it is best to ignore and avoid reading its editorials."Even before the elections, it had written objectionable things about the BJP. The Saamna goes out of limits and tends to exaggerate things. We completely ignore it when they write anything about the NCP, that it the best thing to do," said Memon. In an editorial, the Saamna said that despite the claims of the BJP, there was no Modi wave during the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The editorial also asked its readers, "Are you happy with the verdict you have given? Are you satisfied?".In Maharashtra, the BJP emerged as the single largest party, winning 122 seats, though it fell short of establishing an outright majority in the 288-member state assembly. The BJP, which has made it clear that it will be going ahead with formation of a government in Maharashtra, has so far kept both the NCP and the Shiv Sena guessing about whether it wants either party's support.Taking a dig at the Shiv Sena, BJP chief Amit Shah had on Sunday maintained that his party could not be held responsible for breaking the 25-year-old alliance. The NCP has offered unconditional support to the BJP from outside to from the next government in the state. The BJP has appointed Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and party general secretary J.P. Nadda as its central observers to decide on who will be the leader of the BJP legislative party in Maharashtra.
