Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Friday filed cases of criminal defamation against sacked AAP minister Kapil Mishra and BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
Kapil Mishra had levelled serious allegations of corruption against Satyendar Jain and said that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was given Rs 2 crore bribery by Jain in front of him.
The allegations of Mishra were further escalated by Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
This is the first instance when an Aam Aadmi Party leader has filed a criminal defamation case against any other party leader.
However, the Delhi CM Kejriwal had filed a plea in Supreme Court for removing defamation cases from ‘criminal’ category but turned down by the apex court.
