Waterlogging in several parts of the city following rain today led to traffic snarls, causing inconvenience to the commuters.
Traffic was affected in the Mehrauli-Badarpur road due to a cave-in. The road leading to Zakhira flyover from Anand Parbat was inundated following rains in the afternoon which slowed down traffic, said a traffic police official.
Rain also crippled movement of traffic on NH-8 where commuters were stuck for hours as vehicles were moving at snail’s pace.
The rainfall recorded at Safdarjung observatory was 0.2 mm while at Palam observatory 0.8 mm. Instances of waterlogging were also reported in Inderlok railway line underpass, Qutab Road Chowk in Sadar Bazar and Azadpur Chowk.
