Jailed Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was a sex addict and his ill health is nothing more but withdrawal symptoms, said a team of PGIMS doctors who examined the rapist “godman”.
Dera chief Gurmeet Singh has been diagnosed as a sex addict. According to the doctors, he is suffering from the disease known as satyriasis, an excessive and uncontrollable desire for sex.
"The baba is, in fact, a sex addict. He has no access to physical pleasures in the jail which is the cause for his restlessness. He can be treated. However, if the treatment is delayed, it can lead to a bigger problem," a doctor who examined him in the jail told India Today.

Ram Rahim Singh, who is in Rohtak Sunaria Jail, had complained of uneasiness and restlessness. A team of doctors visited him in the jail. After the examination, it was found out that the so called “Baba” is a sex addict and having withdrawal symptoms as he has no way to achieve physical pleasure inside the jail.
During his trial in the rape case, Ram Rahim Singh declared himself medically unfit to have sex. However, the CBI court had rejected his claims.
The self-styled godman and chief of Dera Sacha Sauda sect was sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping two “Sadhavi” (women followers) in 2002.
