Shiv Sena will act on Uddhav Thackeray's direction: MP Arvind Sawant on no-confidence debate
While speculations had been rife about the Shiv Sena and other BJP allies supporting the saffron party during Friday's no-confidence debate, Sena MP Arvind Sawant's latest remark on the dramatic event is contradicting the same.
Speaking to the news agency ANI, Sawant said the party has not decided yet whether to support the Modi-led NDA government or the Congress-led oppositions during Friday's dramatic debate in Lok Sabha and will act on the directions of Uddhav Thackeray.
"Shiv Sena will work on directions of Uddhav Thackeray Ji. No-confidence motion hasn't been moved by Shiv Sena, we will see what we have to do tomorrow. We have only been asked to be present in the Lok Sabha tomorrow," ANI quoted Sawant as saying.

Having a strength of 273 MPs on its own, the BJP is much confident about their majority in the House and believes that Friday's no-confidence motion will help them get support from parties outside the ruling NDA.
The BJP is hopeful that regional parties like AIADMK, BJD, TRS- which has 37, 19 and 11 members- will either throw their support behind the Modi-led government or abstain from voting.
Top BJP leaders, including president Amit Shah, on Thursday, reached out to their allies as well as other parties, which led Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar expressing his confidence about Centre’s win in Friday’s trust vote in Lok Sabha.
