Panchkula police on Friday sent notice to 45-member Dera Management Committee in connection with August 25 violence. The police also recovered a hard disk which allegedly contains details of Dera's revenue, ANI reported.
Around 35 people were killed and 250 injured in a widespread violence on August 25.
Thousands of followers of Gurmeet Singh went on the rampage, setting fire to vehicles, buildings and railway stations soon after a special CBI court convicted him in a 2002 rape case.
The unrest which began in Panchkula spread to other parts of Haryana and Punjab and even New Delhi.
Apart from that, as many as 250 trains to Rohtak in Haryana were cancelled after the violence.
