Siwan: Trader's murder triggers arson and violence, protesters set police vehicles on fires

Violent protests and arson brought Siwan to a standstill after a furniture trader was shot dead at his home on Wednesday morning in Mahapur, Hussainganj.
The deceased, identified as Raseed, was sleeping at home when criminals entered his home to kill him. As the news of the murder spread, Siwan main road was blocked by the protesters and police vehicles were burnt.

Traffic was paralyzed on the route as residents resorted to vandalism. The police have still not been able to gauge the reasons regarding the murder.
