Smog menace: Gurugram schools to remain closed on Monday

The government and private schools would be closed on Monday in view of the persistent smog and pollution situation in the NCR, the Gurgaon district administration directed on Sunday.
District Magistrate Vinay Pratap Singh said “Due to smog and pollution in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), including Gurgaon, we have decided to close all private and government schools on November 13.”
The schools in Gurugram were closed on Friday and Saturday and it has been extended till Monday, the official said.
“Smog can be dangerous for children and students. We have suggested residents to wear best quality mask to combat air pollution,” he added.
