Congress President Sonia Gandhi Formed A Communication Strategy Group Today Consisting Of Senior Leaders Like Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge, P Chidambaram And Anand Sharma.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi formed a communication strategy group on Thursday which constitutes senior leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, P Chidambaram, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Jairam Ramesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sushmita Dev. The group of leaders will be holding daily meetings and also brief the media over current issues.
The new team will function along with Randeep Surjewala, in charge of Congress communication department, who will be ex officio member of the new group.
Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Gowda, who looks after research for Congress, is another ex officio member.Further, 20 young leaders have also been appointed as secretaries by Sonia Gandhi. This move is said to be based on the party's Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's feedback.These decisions have been taken with the aim to strengthen the grand old party.
