Rajya Sabha MP and Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal on Wednesday repented for his controversial remarks, saying that he is offering apology if his statements hurt anyone’s sentiment.
He said, “Whatever I stated in the Upper House, had read in a dharamshaala.”
Agarwal’s controversial remarks were expunged in the Rajya Sabha. His statement created ruckus in the House and lawmakers of treasury bench and other parties sought an apology from the leader.
Union finance minister Arun Jaitley had demanded his apology just after he passed his controversial remarks.
