Surat Rape Case: 8-year-old girl was held captive, gang-raped, tortured: Gujarat Police
According To Surat Police, The Victim’s Body Was Found Lying In Bushes Near A Cricket Ground In Surat’s Pandesara Area.
The 8-year-old girl, whose body was found at Surat with numerous injury marks, had gone with similar kind of torture and brutality as Kathua rape victim, Gujarat Police said.
Surat Police Commissioner Satish Sharma in a press briefing told the media that the minor was held captive and was tortured before being killed.
“She had injury marks in her private parts and was strangulated to death,” Sharma said.
According to Surat Police, the victim’s body was found lying in bushes near a cricket ground in Surat’s Pandesara area.

The Gujarat Police has yet failed to identify the victim. The case has been handed over to Surat crime branch by the local police.
The Gujarat Police had announced an award of Rs 20,000 for providing any information about the girl.
Police have lodged under FIR under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 302 — murder, 323 — voluntarily causing hurt, 376 — rape and relevant sections of POSCO Act.
