Temple vandalised in Shamli, 3 detained by police

A temple was allegedly desecrated by unidentified persons at Gharidolatpur village in neighbouring Shamli district, following which three persons were detained by police.
SHO Anuradha Singhal said devotees found the idols broken at a temple under Kandhla police station in the district yesterday and protested against the incident.
The caretaker of the temple, Sarvan Kumar, has filed a complaint in this connection, the SHO said.
A case has been registered in connection with the incident and three persons have been taken into custody for interrogation. Search is on to nab the culprits, she said.
