Thane: 24-year-old woman gives birth to baby boy on railway platform
Meenakshi Jadhav And Her Husband Sandesh Jadhav Were Going To Visit A Hospital. But When They Reached Thane Railway Station To Catch A Train To Ghatkopar, She Started Experiencing Delivery Pain.
A 24-year-old woman on Wednesday gave birth to a baby boy on a platform of Thane railway station.
Meenakshi Jadhav and her husband Sandesh Jadhav were going to visit a hospital. But when they reached Thane Railway Station to catch a train to Ghatkopar, she started experiencing delivery pain.
Reacting to the situation, Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer Shobha Mothe and other women reached to help Meenakshi and provided her a dignified cover. Minutes later she gave birth to a baby boy.
Meenakshi and her baby were later shifted to a Civil hospital for treatment. Both are reportedly safe.
Recently, in a similar incident, a woman flying from Saudi Arabia to India gave birth to a baby while the plane was still over the Arabian Sea.
