They vowed, they did it: Martyr Aurangzeb’s brothers join Army to ‘avenge his death’
Nearly A Year After The Abduction And Killing Of Rifleman Aurangzeb By Terrorists In South Kashmir’s Shopian, His Two Brothers- Mohammad Tariq And Mohammad Shabbir- Have Joined The Army.
Nearly a year after the abduction and killing of rifleman Aurangzeb by terrorists in South Kashmir’s Shopian, his two brothers- Mohammad Tariq and Mohammad Shabbir- have joined the army. Both Tariq and Shabbir have been inducted into the infantry battalion of the Territorial army. The duo said that they have joined the army with a mission to ‘avenge the death’ of their brother. With an aspiration to fight against the enemies, both the brothers desire to join ‘operation all out’ in Kashmir.
Aurangzeb’s father, who has also served in the Indian Army, said, “I am pained because my son (Aurangzeb) was killed by terrorists by deceit. Had he been killed in an encounter; I would have no pain in heart.”
Earlier in June 2018, one of the brothers of Aurangzeb had said that 100 terrorists should be killed to take the revenge of his brother and added that if the government can’t do this, he himself will do this.
"I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take swift action in this. 100 of their people should pay the price for the death of my brother. If you (the government) are not able to do so, then tell us, we will do it ourselves," ANI quoted Aurangzeb’s brother as saying.
He was abducted from Pulwama by terrorists when he was going home for Eid celebrations. On June 14, his bullet-ridden body was recovered from Gussoo village in Kalampora area of Pulwama district.
Hours after his brutal killing, terrorists had released a video of Aurangzeb who was involved in the encounter of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sameer Tiger. In the 1.15-minute video, the terrorists were seen grilling the martyred Army Jawan about his role in the recent encounters and his responsibilities.
