Thief steals campaign material from Aam Aadmi Party's office, arrested
The Incident Took Place On Friday When A Vagabond, Identified As 58-year-old Mohd Qazim, Stole Elecetion Campaign Material From AAP's Office At Rouse Avenue, New Delhi.
Days after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's car was stolen, the Delhi police has arrested a man for his alleged involvement in a burglary at the Aam Aadmi Party office at Rouse Avenue in central Delhi, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Friday when a vagabond, identified as 58-year-old Mohd Qazim, stole elecetion campaign material from AAP's office at Rouse Avenue, New Delhi.
The police said, the accused was identified on the basis of a CCTV footage shared by the complainant at the Indraprastha Police Station.
"A complaint of theft was submitted at the Indraprastha Police Station along with the CCTV footage, on Saturday night," the AAP leader told IANS.
An officer privy to the probe said that the face of the accused was not visible in the footage.
However, on the basis of the physical appearance of the accused, five to six people were rounded up and Qazim was nabbed from Kamla Market, he said.
Twenty-two-year-old Surtan, a scrap dealer, was also arrested for buying the canopies sold to him by Qazim.
