TMC torturing BJP workers in Bengal, claims Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of torturing BJP workers.
Das alleged that Mamata Banerjee has been targeting BJP workers lately and unleashing atrocities on them.
"She has become a dictator," Das alleged, adding that her dictatorship would not last long.
Such things do not happen in democracy and she would be taught a lesson in next election he said.
The BJP would replace the Trinamool Congress in the next Assembly election, he claimed.
The injured BJP workers of Bengal would be provided with proper treatment facilities in Jharkhand, said Das.
Since panchayat polls in Bengal, hundreds of BJP workers have deserted their houses and taken shelter at BJP party offices in Sahebgunj and Pakur districts of Jharkhand, as some Trinamool Congress leaders were threatening them, as per reports.
Das also directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Dhanbad, Manoj Ratan Chothe, to seize illegal coal-laden trucks from Bengal as they enter Jharkhand.
Das also said that the entire opposition is frustrated as the country is moving forward, the farmers are moving forward and there is women empowerment besides condemning the "undemocratic works" by the West Bengal government.
"Mamata Banerjee should understand that people are masters in democracy and the message has been given to her government by the people of West Bengal in the panchayat polls," Das said at a press conference in Ranchi.
The chief minister alleged that the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal has dual policies.
"Hindus have discriminatory status while the intruders have first class citizenry," he said.
Das directed the partys state unit to provide necessary arrangements to the BJP workers from West Bengal who came to Jharkhand from West Bengal allegedly after being threatened by Trinamool Congress following the panchayat polls there.
"When I came to know about it (BJP workers from West Bengal coming to Sahibganj following alleged threats by the Trinamool Congress workers) I asked the party to provide necessary arrangements for them. It is a stain on democracy on the part of West Bengal government," Das said.
