Adityanath govt all set to introduce UPCOCA in state
The State Has Prepared The Documents Related To UPCOCA And Soon It Will Be Passed From The Assembly. Later, It Will Send To The President For His Approval.

The Uttar Pradesh government is all set to introduce Uttar Pradesh Control Of Organised Crime ACT(UPCOCA) on the lines of MACOCA in the state.
The state has prepared the documents related to UPCOCA and soon it will be passed from the assembly. Later, it will send to the President for his approval.
If it gets passed by the President, it would be tougher for criminals to get bail under the Act. The government has proposed stern punishment for the guilty under the Act.
In 2009, Mayawati government had introduced the Act, but the then President had rejected it.
