Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday met 2008 gang rape and acid attack victim at Kings George Medical University in Lucknow.
The Chief Minister met the victim at Gandhi ward of the Kings George Medical University. The incident took place when the victim, who hails from Rae Bareilly, was travelling on the train.
Earlier, security had been tightened around the medical university and top officials, including ADG Railways, IG and DIG Lucknow were present on the spot.
On Thursday, the chief minister Yogi Adityanath had visited Hazratganj police station and took stock of the situation on the ground. He directed police officials to give a quick response to the complaints lodged with them. Adityanath also issued directives to its ministers not to use hooters.
