UP CM Yogi Adityanath to meet PM Modi, Amit Shah; likely to discuss state cabinet portfolios
It Is Said That Adityanath Will Discuss The Allocations Of Portfolios With Amit Shah. He Would Also Seek BJP President’s Approval For The Top Positions In The Bureaucracy.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Delhi on Tuesday morning where he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah.
It is said that Adityanath will discuss the allocations of portfolios with Amit Shah. He would also seek BJP president’s approval for the top positions in the bureaucracy.
Sources said that Satish Mahana, Rajesh Agarwal and Suresh Khanna may get plum portfolios while the two senior colleagues Srikant Sharma and Siddharth Nath Singh are likely to get major charge of the key departments.
The BJP president will also take up the issue of new UP party president as Keshav Prasad Maurya has been sworn-in as deputy chief minister of the state. As per party constitution, a person can hold single charge in the party.
The chief minister has a hectic schedule in the national capital where he would also meet President Pranab Mukherjee, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and union finance minister Arun Jaitley in Parliament.
The Uttar Pradesh chief minister will also pay his visit to BJP patriarch Lal Krishna Advani and Union External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. Adityanath could also tender his resignation from Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
