UP govt releases Rs 300 crore for flood preparations
“Rs 300 Crore Have Been Released By The State Government To Make Preparations To Deal With Any Eventuality Of Flood In The State Well In Advance. If Required More Funds Will Be Provided,' Yadav Said.
Uttar Pradesh Irrigation and Revenue Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav today said Rs 300 crore have been released for preparations to deal with floods in the state.
“Rs 300 crore have been released by the state government to make preparations to deal with any eventuality of flood in the state well in advance. If required more funds will be provided,” Yadav said.
Yadav, who reviewed flood preparations in the state at a meeting, directed district magistrates of all the vulnerable areas to make preparations well in time and asked them to prepare plans in consultation with officials in their respective districts.
The minister said 30 embankments have been identified as very sensitive in the state and added that officials have been directed to repair and strengthen these in time.
