Vice-presidential poll 2017: BJP parliamentary party to discuss NDA nominee on Monday
The Meeting Will Be Attended By Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah And Other Members Of The Parliamentary Party Executive.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold parliamentary party executive meeting on Monday to decide the name of NDA’s nominee in vice-presidential poll.
The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and other members of the parliamentary party executive.
The meeting will take place a day before of the last date of filing nomination for the vice-presidential poll.
Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu said, "It’s not appropriate to speculate on any names till a formal announcement is made by the Party. Such speculation in respect of high Constitutional position is not advisable."
On the other hand, Gopalkrishna Gandhi, the Opposition candidate for the Vice-Presidential election on Sunday said that he will file nomination on 18th July. "I will file nomination on July 18," Gandhi said while speaking to ANI.
